Instructions
1. Find an academic peer reviewed article and using APA format write a 1.5-2 page summary using the following sections (purpose, brief background/previous findings/introduction, variables examined, method, # of participants, main findings, overall conclusion) using an in-text citation and providing a reference in APA format
2. Submit this by replying (below)
3. Provide academic feedback to 2 other students on content, APA format, grammar, spelling, etc. Did they meet all the areas in order? Background, purpose, variables, methods, main findings? APA citation and reference correct? What was interesting? Further the discussion/tie your answer to course content what we have learned (1 paragraph each).
4. Only cite the article you are reading (not secondary citations that are in your article) – 1 citation/reference
These articles are accessed online via the college website and instructions are explained in the virtual lecture:
- Library > Top left FIND > Databases > “Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection�
- Next, check the box next to “ Scholarly Peer Reviewed Journals�
- Choose any topic that interests you related to psychology (you can always use your textbook for ideas or choose something you want to learn about – ex: attraction, addiction, Facebook, brain regions of _____,etc.)
- Search box (type in “literature review� or “meta-analysis� of 2 variables like Facebook & self-esteem)
- Open in PDF for reading and completing the assignment, then upload the article so I can make sure it’s not plagiarized.
- Write directly in the box (not uploading a file)
