Qualitative report in psychology using semi-structured interviews.
You will be conducting a Thematic Analysis using the stipulated epistemology.
An area of research is HEALTH.
Research title: A reflexive thematic analysis to explore the perspectives surrounding medical help-seeking and health promotive behaviours in students.
A research question is: How do online students perceive medical help seeking and health promoting behaviours?
Analytical method => Reflexive Thematic Analysis
Epistemology => Phenomenology
(It is very important to show the engagement with epistemology in the results section.)
You must follow what is stipulated by the ethics form. It is attached in files. Before the research was started, the ethics form was completed and accepted. A lot of useful information can be found there.

To sum up, what you do:
– You have an «Assessment brief», you start with that to understand what is going on. Every stage of the work you have to complete is described there in details. There you will see some red parts of text – I did it on purpose, so you can see what has already been done and not needed to do.
– After that you go to the «Ethics form» file, it has already been done and accepted. This is the base of the study and study must follow what is stated there. So read it carefully. It will be further useful for filling out the main file – the qualitative report file, for example, for the Method section.
– The semi-structured interviews have been already done and transcribed, there are 5 transcripts from 5 different people. You will have to read a few times all the transcripts and complete a reflexive thematic analyses (help in refreshing about how to do it might be the file named «Thematic analysis/Stages of TA»). I need a very careful analysis, this is one of the most important part.
– The process of thematic analysis and its results will be reported in a separate file named «Qualitative report_template». This is the file I will need you to provide me with. All the required sections have to be filled out. The title and introduction part (a rationale from «Ethics form» file is copied and pasted into the Introduction) is written for you, you just have to do 4 parts, which going to be altogether 2400-2500 words: the Abstract (not counted towards word count), Method (approx. 500 words, quite brief), Results (1200-1400 words, detailed), Discussion&Reflection (approx. 600 words). In the end also there are 2 not counted towards word count sections: 1) references, which are completed for you, and appendices, that is partly completed with research questions, BUT you have to finish that with thematic map (an example of thematic map is in ThematicAnalysis / Stages of TA / 7 file).
I have provided a very detailed instructions on what has to be done (more see in attached files, also i will send you a “do not forget” checklist, but whether you still have any questions and something requires clarification, just ask me.
P.S. The file with names named “Stages of TA”, “Using thematic analysis in Psychology” and “Reflecting on thematic analysis” is just for your Thematic analysis refreshment if needed. But “BPS Code” and Ethics guidelines for internet-mediated research is to be used in referencing in Ethichal consideration section.
