Write 500 words (minimum) on each explaining the benefit that each product can bring to its user that would otherwise be more difficult or impossible before the IoT phenomenon enabled such products to exist. Explain how these tasks were accomplished before IoT, or if the tasks did not exist prior then explain why they didn’t and why they do exist now. Think and write about how or if these tasks are to continue to be accomplished if IoT were to suddenly stop existing. Write about how (at a high level) the product functions, communicates, and stores/processes data. State your opinion on if you see a future use of the IoT product, or if you believe it to be a fad that will eventually disappear from the market.
Compare and contrast the two products. You may make a Venn Diagram, bulleted lists, or explain through writing. Please provide a minimum of 3 comparison points and 3 contrast points for each product.
Describe, in general, how the products communicate and how data from the product reaches the user. Draw a diagram showing the network or communications architecture/topology and data flow for each. Make note of any specific protocols or technologies that may be used.
You may use whatever software you prefer to generate diagrams (www.draw.io is a free popular Webapp), or you may hand-draw and scan your work – so long as it is legible.
