Research and write a brief, one (1) page informal essay on a historical topic and its influence on modern multimedia.

Choose from one of the following topics for your essay.

Overview
Your essay should answer the following questions: (example answers in parenthesis below)
What is your topic? (the telephone)
When was it invented? (1876)
Who invented it? (Alexander Graham Bell)
What does it do? (allows people to communicate over great distances)
What is the modern day equivalent? (the computer modem)
You’ll be graded on the following criteria:
Your ability to follow ALL of the formatting requirements.
The historically factual accuracy of your essay (this should be the first 2/3 of your essay).
Your ability to relate your historical topic to modern technology and digital multimedia (this should be the last 1/3 of your essay).
Formatting Requirements
Word document format (.doc or .docx only).
File name format should be ‘Firstname Lastname – Historical Essay’ (for example, JJ Chandler – Historical Essay.doc)
Approximately one (1) page in length (1/2 page or less will receive a reduced grade, you can go longer than one (1) page but two (2) full pages is too long).
First line should have your first and last name in the upper right corner.
Second line should have the title of your essay centered on the page.
The entire page should be double spaced, 12 point, Times New Roman font.
No empty lines between the title or paragraphs.
A maximum of one quote, using 10 words or less.
No citations, references, or bibliographies needed (this is an informal essay).
