In groups or own your own, you will propose a research project and upload a visual and audio presentation proposing your project. Your group will identify and explain a research study that you are proposing. You should explain the goals of the study, why it’s important, and how it can be accomplished. It can be any research method that we’ve discussed this semester! Your method should be something that can actually be accomplished (assuming you have as much time and money as you want).

RESEARCH QUESTION
What is your research question? ** What is the relationship between recreational cannabis regulations and illegal drug use? **
Having a good research question is key to the whole proposal, so be sure to carefully craft this. Feel free to ask for feedback on this before turning in the final version.
What are your hypotheses? You may have more than one prediction about what you will find. You should have an independent variable and a dependent variable in your hypothesis.
What is the goal of this study? How might knowing this information impact this population?
RESEARCH METHOD
What research method do you intend to use? Why is this the best method for your question?
Is your research project quantitative or qualitative? Why did you choose this methodology for your proposal?
What sampling strategy will you use and why? Are there other sampling methods that could have been used? How will you identify if someone is eligible for your study or not? How will you recruit participants?
What are some questions you may ask in your chosen method to address your research question? Be sure the questions are appropriate for your method. For example, if you are using a survey, they should be close-ended questions with response categories.
RESOURCES AND ETHICS
What are the resources necessary to use that method? For example: time, money, training and compensation of researchers, statistical program(s), postage, etc.
What ethical issues and challenges does your project present? How will you navigate these issues?
REFERENCES
You must include a “Reference” slide at the end with at least 4 credible sources cited in ASA, APA, or MLA format.
You may use more than four.
At least four sources should be academic, peer-reviewed articles.
Not all sources have the same rigorous standards for obtaining and presenting information.
You should make sure that citations are correct and accurate; be advised that citation generators may be useful in starting a citation, but must be checked thoroughly for accuracy!
