Your proposal should be roughly 10-12 pages. Your research proposal should examine some problem relevant to political science, why it is worth studying. Your proposal should also offer a critical literature review of this problem, propose a method to study the problem, and what you expect to find.
* Introduce your topic à You should have a succinct introduction to your research proposal. Remember, introductions must include research questions, theses statements, and introduce/define any important concepts.
* Offer a literature review à At this point, you should have identified scholarship reelevating to your research question in a body of literature. This section must be broken down with descriptive subheadings and lead to your argument.
* Provide a detailed description of your model/method à You must develop a systematic way of answering your question and substantiating your thesis statement. You must be as detailed about the method as possible and justify your approach.
* By now, your reference page should have grown to roughly 10-12 scholarly sources. Be sure to include at least TWO books in this reference list.
