need at least 10 peer reviewed journals to support at least 2 questions any that are relatable to the subject to research about Leadership and intertwine how technology may benefit recruitment and Retainment with employees.
Literature Map (5 points)
Each student will develop a
literature map from their ongoing literature search on a self-selected chosen topic. This will include key concepts
related to the topic, literature sources/authors (as citations), a suitable theory, and an APA correct reference list. Prepare
a 1-2-page only (single sheet b/b) document
design of your choice on your chosen topic. Please
NO cover-page but put your name on the document where
suitable. Use Pp or Word or any other graphic
capable program at your disposal. Avoid using Excel
however as it has word processing limitations.
The map will include key
concepts, theory, citations, and a reference list. The literature map may contain
MSLM textbooks but should contain a minimum of ten (10) scholarly sources
(recent within 10-15 years) [🗣hint: use mostly journal articles
i.e., empirical studies]. Each
concept should have at minimum two (2) citations for comparing/contrasting later in the literature review.
The literature map can be
completed graphically or as an outline. Professional
creativity is encouraged. The literature map will serve as
an outline for the development of Chapter 2: Literature Review of the Capstone. Samples are
posted on Bb.
Draft Literature Review (15 points)
Each student will prepare and
submit 4-6 full pages (»1,500 words minimum), APA formatted literature review of their selected topic, with a
minimum of ten (10) scholarly sources (page count does not include Reference page). The usage of websites is to be restricted. Chapter must include an Introduction and a Conclusion section. These are minimum requirements that equate to a B/B- grade.
The literature review will
provide a general overview of the topic area, highlight themes or sub-topics, and provide at least two perspectives
within the topic (dominate perspective/proponents and minority perspective/opponents). A literature review is source-driven, not
student opinion, nor should student necessarily
draw conclusions or propose recommendations.
First person, as in I, we, my, us, our, must not be used in
the narrative.
The review of the literature is your way of looking for the gaps in the literature/body of knowledge,
in which you will find potential
research questions. The literature
and studies on your selected topic are to be
compared/contrasted in a formal and purposeful piece of writing. You will be arguing the relevance and significance of your topic and the
recent research that has been conducted. Your
writing will argue the relevance
into an argumentative piece of literature. You
will argue that the body of literature, as it
stands, would be supplemented by a study in the direction you care to take
your research.
Student will identify at least
one (1) theory that is suitable and associated with the chosen topic (examples: contingency theory, generation theory, complexity theory,
group dynamics theory,
spirituality theory, stigma theory, etc. (see Bb for
additional theory resources
in the Course Documents tab).
This literature review will be the basis for Chapter 2 of your capstone
or thesis. A revised/corrected
and
expanded version of the literature review will be included in the
final research proposal.
