Select one specific natural disaster or human-caused disaster, such as Hurricane Katrina, the Mississippi River Flood in 1993, 9/11, or the Boston Marathon Bombing. Then, research the responses of the government, healthcare system, professionals, and individuals to that specific disaster. Also, examine planning for disaster responses and the ethical issues faced by organizations and individuals providing disaster response and patient care. Present your findings in a PowerPoint as outlined in the assignment and the rubric, then upload it in Canvas. The assignment is worth 75 points.

Create a PowerPoint utilizing the guidelines below. The PowerPoint must follow the tutorial guidelines provided in Module 5 in Canvas and meet the following criteria:

  1. 15 slides minimum including the title slide and one reference slide with a minimum of two references. The student’s name and the selected disaster must be on the title slide. (Students may have more than 15 slides. The student may have more than one reference slide, but only one reference slide will count toward the minimum number.) 15 points
  2. Orderly, organized presentation of content. 5 points
