In order to demonstrate your integration and application of all the material presented in this course on serial killers, you will compose an extensive profile of a serial offender whom you have chosen to research for your Signature Assignment.

The profile needs to be a 7 to 8-page paper in APA format (excluding the Title, Abstract, and References pages) that addresses the following areas:
Summary Profile on Aileen WuornosAileen Wuornos the serial Killer (20 pts): You will be developing a brief but concise Summary Profile of Aileen WuornosAileen Wuornos serial killer that includes pertinent information such as the birth and possible death of the offender, their moniker, the span of their kills, the victim count, the dominant typology, their methods, their motives, as well as inclusion of a photograph of the killer along with the respective link. Demographic Variables on Selected Killer (10 pts): Your extensive offender profile will first provide a number of critical demographic factors on your selected serial killer, including their gender, ethnicity, the age at their first kill, the age at their last kill, their profession/employment history, as well as victim type(s).
Application of Definitional Criteria to Selected Killer (10 pts): You will relate all of the FBI’s definitional criteria to your selected serial killer, focusing on the total number of victims, whether the killer acted alone or with a partner(s), and how much of a “cooling off” period occurred between the kills.
Typology Classifications to Aileen WuornosAileen Wuornos  (10 pts): You will next note several characteristics (3 or more) of your selected serial killer that includes their murder methods, victim targets (IVTs or not, strangers or acquaintances), and murder locations (geographically stable or transient ones) to determine whether your offender is a visionary, mission-oriented, hedonistic, or power-control oriented type as well as whether they are an organized or disorganized type.
Factor(s) Influence on Formation of Selected Killer (10 pts): You will provide a primary and/or secondary factor’s impact on your selected serial killer by identifying the factor’s respective theory by name (whether biological, psychological, or sociological), sufficiently explaining that factor(s), and then relating that factor(s) to several instances in the offender’s history.
Demographics and Motives to Aileen WuornosAileen Wuornos by Gender (10 pts): You will identify particular demographic variables (age at first kill, age at last kill, education level, employment history) to your selected serial killer as well as their primary and possible secondary motives (whether sexual gratification, financial gain, power-control, and/or thrills), and then relate those factors to the research findings on gender differences with serial murderers.
Methods and Victim Types to Selected Killer by Gender (10 pts): You will further identify the particular weapons of choice that your selected serial killer uses (whether guns, knives, hands, and/or poison) as well as which victim types they target (strangers, acquaintances, and/or family), and then relate those factors to the research findings on gender differences with serial murderers.
Apprehension Techniques with Selected Killer (10 pts): You will next identify particular profiling strategies (offender, victim, DNA, crime scene, psychological, and geographic) and/or non-profiling factors (turned in by an associate, arrested for another offense, linked to victims by others, had victim who escaped or survived, or caught in the act of the kill) that led to the apprehension of your selected serial killer.
Current Status of Selected Killer and APA Formatting (10 pts): You will finally provide a description of the current status of your selected serial killer, whether they are alive or dead, and the details of that status (awaiting/serving their sentence or having the death penalty administered/other means of death such as natural causes or suicide); you will further be evaluated for grammar, organization, and APA formatting throughout your entire offender profile document.
