In this prompt, write about active reading and active listening strategies that have been helpful for you in the past or that you think would be helpful for your in the future.
You might think of your most difficult textbook or other academic text. Based on what you read in Active Reading Strategies, what specific strategies can you use to help you understand the material better? Also, what things most commonly distract you when you are reading? What can you do to control these distractions?
Based on what you read in Active Listening Strategies, you might consider how you could adapt the strategies for online and remote learning. What specific strategies can you use to improve your listening and comprehension in recorded lectures, videos, and Zoom remote classes?
