Social media is a constantly changing landscape. Students will review a current news article in an effort to stay up to date on current news relating to the subject.
Students should choose a current (published within the last 30 days) article that is relevant to class discussion. Students can elect to report on different related stories or they can follow a single story for both current article assignments. They are encouraged to do additional research on the topic of interest and link the news story with what is learned in relevant class discussions.
Students must relate classroom concepts to these real-world issues, and present the information in a clear and coherent manner. Students are encouraged to be creative. Students will be graded on content, originality, clarity, relevance, and creativity.
The written report (2-4 pages) should include:
- a summary of the article
- relevance to chapter concepts being studied
- at least 3 suggested predictions/recommendations
