“Fate leads the willing and drags along the reluctant(Seneca).� Fate is the series of events that happen in someone’s life beyond their control. Regardless of the decisions made, or how you plan to react towards the inevitable, your fate is set in stone and will play out against your favor. In this storyline, fate leads Oedipus Rex towards a predetermined destiny of tragedy. In the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, Oedipus’ decisions were dictated by fate when he left his country, married and had children with his mother and ignored Tiresias’ warnings
