This SWOT analysis will examine the internal strengths and weaknesses compared to the external opportunities and threats of your particular program (Cyber and Homeland Security Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University)
For an effective SWOT analysis, there are different components that must be explored. The task is to utilize research (Internet, FDU marketing materials, etc.) to determine the comments you will make about the program for which you are currently enrolled. The due date for this assignment is Sunday, April 30. This is a required submission for all students nearing the completion of their graduate program. A template has been set up for the SWOT analysis of each individual program. These templates are attached here. Select the correct template for your particular program. Each template contains various headings, inclusive of:
Purpose – to provide information to assist FDU in maintaining the strength of its programs. (one paragraph)
Strengths – self-explanatory (bullet-list with one or two sentences of explanation for each bullet)
Weaknesses – self-explanatory (bullet-list with one or two sentences of explanation for each bullet)
Opportunities – self-explanatory (bullet-list with one or two sentences of explanation for each bullet)
Threats – self-explanatory (bullet-list with one or two sentences of explanation for each bullet)
Narrative – the scope of the SWOT analysis (how it is used in planning), the process you utilized in conducting the SWOT analysis, and how you came to your conclusions. (one paragraph)
Conclusions & Recommendations – provide evidence-based (when possible) recommendations on how your particular program may be improved. (two paragraphs)
