You are to summarize the study using www.sciencedaily.com, including the date, the researcher(s) involved, descriptions of the participants (how many, gender, where they were from, age, education, etc.), the hypothesis of the experiment (i.e. what the researcher(s) were looking at), the methodology (i.e. what types of measurements they used, what they did in the experiment, finally what they found. Be as detailed as possible.
After you tell me all about the study, explain why it would be deemed unethical, by going through the Belmont Report. For example, if the study failed to ask the participants for permission to experiment on them, that would go against informed consent which is a part of the principle of Respect for Persons. You also need to explain what each principle means and why it’s important for an ethical study to have all three. A study can be deemed unethical for failing as little as one or all of them. You need to go through each of the three principles and explain whether or not the experiment ethically or unethically portrayed each of them and why/why not.
