Adolescents use digital technology at a high rate. The COVID-19 pandemic has made digital technology a necessary part of
teen’s lives for school, socializing, and staying connected. At the same time, digital technology has a dark side, giving rise to cyberbullying, mental health problems, and other social-related concerns. Given what you have learned about brain
development during adolescence, the resolution of Erikson’s stage of identity vs role confusion, and the way in which peers and families can increase or decrease wellbeing or deviant behavior, take a position on whether digital technology is helpful or harmful to adolescents. Write a one page, single-spaced paper analyzing 2 pros and 2 cons of digital technology using
your knowledge from this module and the assigned videos.
