Students will be expected to read a
current news release and provide a critical review of the information, which
includes questioning the information provided and understanding the topic from
a different perspective.
Critique will be 2-3 pages, written with an academic tone, in 3rd person, and meet APA (7th
ed.) standards. Title page and reference list are not included in
the page count.
*Any content beyond the maximum 3 pages will not be
included in the evaluation of the assignment.
Critique will be supported by a minimum of 9 relevant
and recent (last five years) references from peer-reviewed journals. Strive to
use Canadian references within the last 5 years. Other references, such as
scholarly websites and government documents/reports, may also be used over and
above the required journal references to supplement your work.
