The purpose of this research was to measure the efficacy of three search engine security postures in relations to newly innovated artificial intelligence engines.
Assignment
Now that you have identified your research topic, you need to start conducting research. This occurs whether you are drafting a research paper, completing an experiment, or even developing a product. Because cybersecurity moves so quickly, be sure to find current and relevant sources. A good rule of thumb is to narrow your search to the last five (5) years unless you are providing some type of historical information. Many organizations conduct annual reports – use the latest report. Do not take the first item that appears in a search engine. Remember, the best research is the most current research – after all, this is cybersecurity!
When you begin your research, you may want to be broad at first, then begin to drill down into sub-topics. Use the Utica College library, Google Scholar, government websites, or other appropriate sources and look for ten (10) sources, peer-reviewed (scholarly), that speak about your topic. The articles need to be full text; do not simply use abstracts.
Note: Your goal for this assignment is to write the first two pages explaining the research problem you will be addressing in your research.

Choose ten (10) scholarly sources that explain and support your research problem. Review them carefully and organize the facts of the readings into paraphrased material. You will write the first two pages of your capstone using this material. You will use the capstone template provided by your professor. Skip the Roman numeral pages and start at the first page in the body of the capstone template, titled Statement of the Problem.
Please note: Do not simply choose the top 5 search engine results; minimal research work will be reflected in your grade. Keep your sources relevant (in the last 5 years). Follow the guidelines in the capstone template and from your course professor to submit only clean copies, free from APA and grammatical errors. You must use Grammarly and submit a screenshot of your Grammarly results proving a clean copy submission. If you have writing trouble, reach out to Smarthinking, or you may hire an editor of your choosing. Early in the course, an editor will come as a guest speaker to talk through the common errors and pitfalls of the capstone writing style. Also, within the first few weeks, the librarians will speak with you to help you understand the benefits of using the library databases for your research.
