The role of women and gender dynamics during the e Atlantic Slave Trade from the point of view of the enslaved women.

Hello, my name is Greta.

The subject of the Paper is World History, the background is International Relations.
The bibliography has to be related to World History, for instance the Journal of World History and the Journal of Women’s History can be useful. The perspective has to be of World History.
The Paper should not be just a summary of historical events. A critical approach must be adopted and evidence used. It is for a Master’s Degree.

Main thesis: The role of women and gender dynamics during the e Atlantic Slave Trade from the point of view of the enslaved women. The main point of view has always been the one of the colonizers, or of men in general. However, the history of the Atlantic Slave Trade is incomplete without a comprehensive understanding of the roles women played. This Paper should analyze and emphasize the importance of recognizing the voices and experiences of women in shaping history. It should examine the multifaceted roles that women played during the Atlantic Slave Trade, both as victims (sexual exploitation, sexual violence, etc) and agents of power, shedding light on the intersection of gender, race, and power dynamics that shaped this historical phenomenon. Also, highlighting the need for ongoing research into their roles during this dark period of human history. Traditionally, discussions have centered on the brutal conditions of the transatlantic journey, labor exploitation, and cultural displacement and of course on the role of men. However, the experiences of women in this context remain underrepresented, despite their pivotal roles in shaping various aspects of the trade. Their legacy must be taken into account.
