Each student will write a research paper arguing a thesis related to the cultural experience of a particular group in the United States. I choose Native American: Sioux group.
Your work should demonstrate that you fully understand the historical and contemporary experiences of the
group in the United States, including relevant specific political, social, cultural, and economic factors. You do not want to focus on any one individual within an ethnic/cultural group,
nor focus on one strand (such as cultural celebrations only) in your narrative.

The paper is going to look at how well you understand the challenges and opportunities that may exist for non-majority peoples and examine their lived experience through a variety of topic areas including social, political, religious, gender, economic, and other categories where differences in outcomes may exist.
Basically it is all about the oppression and how indigenous people have been not treated equally in every life
aspect.
