This essay will look at the current state of the private protection/security
discipline on the corporate side (can compare to US government/military
protection requirements). There seems to
be a lack of standardization and one would also therefore argue a lack of
professionalism with the total protection community due to the differences
between personal corporate security (bodyguards) and federal government (Secret
Service) and military personal security protection.
This essay will look at the problems with Private Security
firms/companies in the United States and what problems they may have with training
standards (are they regulated? Is there a lack of standard with their
qualifications to provide private security?
What risks could this pose to the individual or group that is wanting to
hire them for personal protection?) etc….
