Write exclusively in 3rd person with formal academic tone and word choice (no profanity, slang, casual word choice).
What is the writing prompt for the paper?
In a FULL six pages (content on page six is all the way to the bottom margin) and with page seven being the Works Cited page, present textual evidence from chapters in Red Scarf Girl to help readers appreciate how the big three logical fallacies (appeal to authority, appeal to popularity, and appeal to fear) impacted characters in the book.
NOTE: “impacted” means how the logical fallacies influenced characters to think and behave toward someone else. For example, in the chapter “Destroy the Four Olds!” we find Ji-li Jiang influenced by the appeal to authority fallacy when she states, “The newspapers had pointed out that the fourolds were also reflected in clothing, and now high school students had taken responsibility for eliminating such dress. For example, any pants with a leg narrower than eight inches for women or nine inches for men would be considered fourolds” (ch. 1).
We come to find out a little further in that chapter what this appeal to authority thinking means when the crowd of young revolutionaries confront someone they consider to have fourolds pants.
NOTE about sources: There is only ONE source for this paper: Jiang’s book. Remember that every time you present content from the source in your paper, it must be cited using signal phrase or end reference, AND every use of content from a source MUST NOT be plagiarized. Papers are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.
