Students’ experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many students were placed on lockdown not able to see peers or have in-person interactions besides family members some students had multiple instances of being excluded due to feeling sick or having to deal with testing positive for the virus and suffering long-term effects of COVID. This research will look at the effects of the pandemic on students’ mental health and the various ways problems have arisen, including attendance, progress, and success.
The variables will be focused on groups from different grades 9-12 and different schools with different populations.
Data from three different schools will be selected to answer how students were affected. A survey to students and families will be conducted to gather information with questions regarding students’ feelings and struggles before and after the pandemic. Also, one on one interviews to collect more data.
The information collected will determine how students have been affected during the pandemic as well as their success in school.
