Topic Review, Part 1
You will review the PPT that was submitted 3rd after yours.

*If you get to the end of submissions before reaching your third, then continue to the top of the list. (For example, if there are only 2 submissions after yours, you review submission 1.)
PART A: Respond to the following questions about the PPT your reviewed.
1. What is the topic you are reviewing? Who prepared it?
2. What did you know about the environmental issue before reviewing the PPT?
3.How has your understanding of the issue changed since reviewing the PPT? In a few sentences, summarize the event or topic – what happened, why is it a problem, how it was remedied (or not).
4. What are the chemicals or materials of concern (COCs)?
5. What group of organisms, and in what ecosystem are most at risk?
6. In your opinion, how can similar circumstances be prevented in the future?
7. With respect to the danger to human health, how is this topic event different from your topic? Be specific – consider chemicals, negligence, effects.
8. Constructive thoughts that you have on each video for its creator. (This can be notations on particularly good portions, or portions that could be improved. Make sure it is professional and respectful.)
PART B:

– Choose ONE of the first 3 references in the PPT, and apply the SIFT Method to assess it’s validity. Specify which one you have chosen by providing the full MLA reference.
– Provide individual summaries of your application of each of the SIFT Steps.
– Based on those steps, state whether or not statements in that source are valid.
