As a team, develop a “Visual Management Board” for an initiative you are conducting using simulation to practice maintaining team situational awareness during clinical crises. Elements that you may wish to include on your Visual Management Board might include: learning objectives; pre-brief material e.g., “Why are we doing this?”; a short storyboard or scenario; debriefing strategy/outline; and what metrics you may be following to know whether your simulation training efforts are working to improve teamwork, communication, and/or patient care. You can include photos of clinical team members in action during the simulation, quotes from staff, or upcoming events relevant to the training.
Here is an IHI article describing the concept of a Visual Management Board (VMB) in more detail that will be helpful to review prior to developing your own VMB.

You may “make up” data on run charts or control charts to demonstrate how you would utilize such information on the Visual Management Board. You may even include “made-up” quotes from either faculty teaching the simulation or staff participating in the simulations for your Visual Management Board.
