The assumption is that the decrease in Chinese American support for the Republican candidate between the 2016 & 2020 presidential elections and the increase in Vietnamese American support was caused by the use of anti-communist and anti-Chinese rhetoric during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the case of Chinese Americans who remained a supporter of the Republican party in these elections and the Vietnamese Americans who continued to vote democratic, do demographic measures such as age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and gender determine these actions?”
