Questions: What is an ‘essentialist’ argument about femininity and masculinity, and is it still relevant for social psychologists to consider essentialism?
Word limit: 1500 words (excluding the assignment title and references).
instructions:
for this assignment you are asked to write an essay that explains what an ‘essentialist’ argument about femininity and masculinity is and critically evaluates the extent to which consideration of ‘essentialism’ remains relevant for social psychologists.
Before going on to evaluate its relevance, you will therefore need to demonstrate a good understanding of what ‘essentialism’ means in the context of social psychological research on gender. Your essay needs to be well organised into paragraphs, with a separate introduction and conclusion.
I will be attaching photos files of the text that discusses relevant info and this must be included please. Also looking for inclusion of other relevant material to the question, as long as the argument is grounded in social psychological research.
