There is ONE summative assessment in this module: an essay. However, it will be graded in two halves each being 1500 words, total 3000.
A summative assignment means an assignment designed to measure the level of your success against the learning outcomes of the module. All summative work contributes to your overall assessment mark for the module.
· A1 – Part A – Review of the literature on the topic – minimum of 20 references – to include text books; journal articles; charity reports; government documents and legislation.
· A2 – Part B – Critical discussion of the policy or intervention
Please only use UK literature, (although classic theories in criminology or victimology can be referenced).
Presentation:- All submissions must be in Arial or Calibri font 12; Justified and in Harvard style
Exceptional work with presentation of the highest standard. The work contains coherent arguments and ideas. There is a detailed understanding of subject matter and critical analysis of issues/problems. Points are madeclearly and concisely, always substantiated by appropriate use of source material. There is evidence of asound ability to critically interrelate theories with examples from practice where appropriate.
