Who is a true hero of The Laramie Project and 12 Angry Men? What does it mean to be heroic? Does each play have one hero or multiple heroes? Explain your answer.

Assignment:

Look over the questions and prompts below, and look to the plays for your answers. Perhaps there were some unanswered questions in one of the plays that you want to revisit, strong similarities with settings or themes, or a parallel between characters you find intriguing. In whichever topic you choose, compare/contrast two of the plays we’ve studied. Remember, in comparison to give equal weight to both plays. Do not cover all three plays. (Your final exam will be based on the play you do not cover in this essay).
Objectives:
The paper is not limited to these topics, so please use or modify these as you see fit to respond to the plays effectively.
Remember to keep in formal tone, so avoid the use of “I” or “you” or “we.”
Please do not simply give a summary of the two plays – analyze the plays.
The paper should be be at least 4 pages, and must include quotes from the text (try not to exceed 4 lines per quote or use block format).
Also, you need to use at least two outside sources to go along with your 2 plays. Your outside sources may be critiques of the plays themselves or address the theme/idea/subject of your topic in general.
Document your sources (including the two plays) with a works cited page. Use 12-point legible font. Follow proper formatting guidelines.
