Essays must engage with general conceptual material relevant to these questions and use material from at least one issue area of global governance we explore in the course. Essays must demonstrate substantial engagement in depth with the literature studied on the course, as well as independent research.
Advice on how to tackle the essay questions will be provided during the course. Opportunities to discuss strategies for answering the questions will also be available. Essays are to be 3,000 words in length (within a 10% +/- margin and excluding bibliography), word-processed, single-spaced, and fully referenced. Referencing should be consistent throughout and must conform to either the Harvard (referencing in the text) or Cambridge (footnotes/endnotes) methods of formatting.
