Use Macbeth Act 1 Scene 7, you may refer a little to other scenes but nothing past Act 1 Scene 7.
Please use the conventions of a diary entry:
-Dear Diary,
-Date
-Write in first person perspective
-Write in a personal tone
-For this a fairly formal tone and vocabulary as it is Macbeth speaking
-Punctuation
-Have a sign-off at the end (E.g. Yours,…)
-Write in past tense but when thinking use present tense
-Avoid abbreviations such as “don’t” instead use “do not” or like “would not” instead of “wouldn’t”
-Mention some Christianity as it is Macbeth, he is Christian and religion is a powerful influence in old age, especially during the Shakespearean era.
-Put in thoughts, emotions, and feelings.
Follow this structure:
–A brief explanation of why you initially decided not to kill the king with Lady Macbeth’s response
–How Lady Macbeth made you feel and how she influenced you.
–How Lady Macbeth persuaded you with her words ESPECIALLY ABOUT HOW SHE COMMENTS AND QUESTION YOUR MASCULINITY.
–What do you plan to do and what do you think and feel about the plane, how will the outcome be?
–Have a think about how society was during those times.
Criteria *IMPORTANT HAVE TO FOLLOW*=
—-Please use ambitious vocabulary – consistently accurate spelling throughout, including ambitious vocabulary and/or words with difficult/irregular spelling. Use vocabulary that would be fitting with the olden days. Use sentence structures and phrases that would fit people during that era. For example: instead of using “maybe” use “perchance”.
—-Writing in the correct style/format/tone for the text type and writing interesting and engaging work. To achieve well on this one, you should be sure to lay out your work as a diary entry and write a thoughtful, appropriate response to the bullet-point prompts. Like Macbeth, I would go fairly formal!
Vocabs you could/should use to describe things especially Lady Macbeth from Macbeth’s views:
Perchance
Treason
Regicide
Blasphemy
Waining
Captivate
Guile
Beguile
Potent
Potency
Formidable
Besmirch
Steadfast
For example phrases – instead of “I could not maybe” do “Could I perchance/perhaps”.
