It says that other outside sources can be used on this so I provided a website that was recommended by my professor in the first document attached. You don’t have to use many sources from there, they are mainly used as a way to reference the sources I provided you.
- Papers MUST be written on the topic detailed above. Essays written off-topic will receive no credit.
- Essays must be no less than 7.5 typed double-spaced pages. DO NOT EXCEED 8 pages [1875-2000 words].
- An MLA Works Cited page IS required. REMEMBER the Works Cited page DOES NOT count toward a page total–your essay itself must be at least 7.5 pages FOLLOWED by your Works Cited page. You should write at least 7.5 pages then add the Works Cited page by using page break: Go to Insert > Page Break in MS Word.
- Type and submit your essay in MLA manuscript format.
- Be sure to MLA-cite quotations and/or paraphrases from the assigned reading[s] to provide a sense of conversation between your own thoughts and the thoughts of the writers we are studying and discussing.
- Outside, peer-reviewed secondary sourcesLinks to an external site. ARE ENCOURAGED for formal essays: the JSTOR database is recommended as well as the Gale Literature database, both accessible from the university’s library. Use of popular sources through a Google search is STRONGLY discouraged; secondary sources must be peer-reviewed sources.
