- Amulti-paragraph, multi-page, effort of 1000 + words that best meets the criteria of the Critical Question essay rubric (MODULE 4) earns up to 65 pts.
- Please use informal parenthetical citing in the essay. If you quote or paraphrase primary or secondary sources from the packet, cite by simply using the letter (B), the author’s name (Gomez) or a part of the title.
- When you use outside sources, you can cite the text and chapter (US History 22.2) OR media provided (PBS, “The Gilded Age”). No bibliography needed, just parenthetically cite in the essay.
The essay is due no later than Monday, 7/17, 11:59 pm
to be considered on time.

1. FIRST, download the rubrics from MODULE 4 both the essay and source packet rubrics.
- AFTER you’ve submitted the essay or rubric, that next page with the confetti, click Submission Details link, upper right, under “Submission”
- Next page, in the gray column on the right, under the
“Add a Comment” box, click “Attach File.”
- Click “Choose File”
- Click on the appropriate rubric. Rename it with your last name, first initial, CQ 1
- Click Save
- You should now see your essay/source packet linked on the left and the appropriate rubric linked in the gray column to the left.
